Common Questions

Direct answers to how we operate, collaborate, and deliver.

If you have other questions, use the contact form below or email us at team@subtraction.design with your inquiry.

1. What kind of clients do you work with?
icon

We work with entrepreneurs, marketing teams, non-profits, and established businesses that need a website that accurately represents and actively supports their business. If your current site isn't performing, hasn't kept pace with your growth, or you're building from scratch — we're built for that.

2. What services do you offer?
icon

We design, build, and launch websites end-to-end. This spans the full range of what a website requires — from strategic direction and brand expression, to interface design, user experience, and technical build. Every engagement is structured around what your business actually needs, not a predetermined package of deliverables.

3. How do you price your projects?
icon

Every project is scoped and priced based on what it requires. We agree on a fixed price before we begin, so there are no surprise invoices. Ongoing Partner engagements are scoped separately based on your support needs.

4. What is your typical project timeline?
icon

Timelines are scoped to each project and upon agreed upfront. We move efficiently without cutting corners, and we also won't rush a project that deserves more time.

5. Can we collaborate remotely?
icon

Yes. We work remotely by default and integrate smoothly into your existing communication and workflow. Most of our client relationships are managed entirely online without any loss of quality or clarity.

6. Do you accept one-off requests or only full projects?
icon

It depends on the scope. Smaller requests may be appropriate for existing clients or clearly defined tasks. For new clients, we typically start with a Discover engagement so we understand your needs before recommending a path forward.

7. How do you keep projects on track and on budget?
icon

Every project begins with a structured discovery process that establishes clear direction, defined deliverables, and an agreed price before any design or development begins. We keep clients informed and involved at every stage — so decisions are made collaboratively, momentum is maintained, and there are no surprises at the finish line.
